Luxury Store Manager, New York City
Position:
Responsibilities:
Store Environment:
- Maintain a luxury store environment that enhances our customer's experience with the brand.
- Ensure proper understanding and execution of all brand guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain visual standards that support the brand image.
- Oversee store operations including supply ordering, product maintenance, and store organization.
- Provide a consistent, high-quality store experience for all customers.
Sales:
- Achieve store sales and financial goals.
- Demonstrate and sell products, explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, and value.
- Cultivate a selling culture through the “Scandia Home Difference” and extensive product knowledge.
- Lead store outreach to interior design professionals.
- Ensure staff effectively build and maintain client databases to drive sales and loyalty.
Customer Service:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to build and grow the business.
- Lead sales staff in providing exceptional white-glove service.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize the customer experience.
- Maintain service quality by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
Merchandising:
- Curate merchandise displays to highlight product benefits.
- Identify desired products and manage relationships with outside vendors.
- Oversee merchandise orders for new and replenishment stock.
Marketing:
- Work closely with the marketing team to support local advertising initiatives.
- Plan and execute special events and promotions.
Staffing:
- Manage and develop the store team, providing motivation and support.
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks.
- Create a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Handle staffing decisions including hiring, training, and performance management.
Operations:
- Ensure efficient administrative operations including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cash handling records and financial reporting.
- Oversee inventory control to prevent losses and maintain stock integrity.
- Monitor and control store operating expenses.
Other:
- Collaborate with other store locations as needed.
- Maintain brand knowledge and product expertise. (inclusive of all the vendors we carry in store)
- Monitor competitive activities.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven luxury retail management experience.
- Passion for fine linens, high-end textiles, and continuous learning.
- Strong connection skills with the ability to tell a compelling brand story.
- Knowledge of the New York City interior design community.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic planning skills to build clientele.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and sales.
- Experience in direct buying and product curation.
- Inventory management proficiency.
- Superior communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Resilient, action-oriented, and solution-driven.
