The origins of Scandia Home date back to 1971 when a catalog company in Seattle introduced a comforter-and-linens set called the "Scandia Down® Ensemble". It helped introduce the European way of dressing the bed to the American market.

Scandia Down products reflect the industry's highest standards for down cleanliness. Only premium down that has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to exacting specifications is used in our products. Because of this meticulous cleaning, Scandia Down products are virtually hypo-allergenic.
Animal Welfare
Scandia Home has an ongoing commitment to humane sourcing of our natural fills. In 2016, we adopted the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and all Scandia down products are now made with only RDS certified down fill, ensuring that animals providing Scandia fills are never subjected to inhumane practices.
